Whenever we are walking the trails, no matter which trails, we rarely see other people of color. Considering that the majority of the world’s population is considered “of color,” it’s strange to me that I only see uncolored people taking advantage of these wonderful services. This is not the era of the racist Sierra Club founder; we are certainly beyond the false notion that ‘____(Black, Latinos, other) people don’t belong here.’ (So where we all at?)

City and suburb folks, get out and get back to nature! Camping, hiking, fishing, and bonfires are not just activities for our people in the country and the back woods. Find a program in Northeast Ohio parks —-or wherever you live. And when you go…
Remember to be good land stewards
- Pick up any waste you create (it’s okay to pick up litter you didn’t create)
- Leave natural areas undisturbed and stay in/on designated areas/trails
- Use safe practices handling lighters and matches if burning anything
…in other words, leave the place in the same condition you find it.
ColorBlindWork organizes experiences such as beginning, intermediate and advanced trail walking/hiking, camping, PlanTherapie and other outdoor activities.
Come on out here cause we out here.
