What’ve we got to lose?

Whew! With bad and sad news about family members and losses, and of course, the ongoing frenzy about political chaos that dominating the news media, this has been quite a week.

During weeks like this, the best ways to decompress are to spend time caring for our vegetable and herb plants and weather permitting, walking and/or working outdoors. This week I needed to do both.

As I enjoyed the sights and sounds, I was reminded that as environmental justice executive orders are rescinded, legislation written to oppose protests, and policies are pro-business instead of pro-life (🤔), we stand to lose a lot. Nature is not expendable.

Safeguarding our wildlife is not just the job of the local, state and federal land stewards—some of whom are being dismissed as unnecessary personnel (we certainly don’t agree with that!). We urge everyone to volunteer, donate and cast your votes for the environment.

ColorBlindWork | People. Plants. Purpose. was at The Wilderness Center in Wilmot, Ohio, our favorite place to volunteer and support.
